Cara Bruce is the editor of Viscera and two other anthologies. She is also the co-author of The First Year - Hepatitis C (1st & 2nd editions) and Horny? San Francisco. Her short fiction has appeared in many anthologies including Pills, Thrills, Chills & Heartbreak, Best American Erotica, Best Women’s Erotica, Necrologue, Public House, among others. She has written for The San Francisco Bay Guardian, While You Were Sleeping, GettingIt.com, Playgirl, Salon.com, the McClathy-Tribune, and more. She currently edits a financial magazine while writing a novel.
Shawna Kenney is the author of Imposters (Mark Batty Publisher) and the memoir, I Was a Teenage Dominatrix (Last Gasp), which earned a Firecracker Alternative Book award, international translation and a television development deal. Her work has appeared in Swindle Magazine, Juxtapoz, Transworld Skateboarding, Veg News, the Florida Review and LA Weekly, among others. Kenney has shared her words in classrooms and on panels at Goucher College, Sarah Lawrence, UCLA, Cal-State Long Beach, Cal-State Fullerton, Ladyfest LA, the DIY Convention, Vallekilde School of Communications (Denmark), the Hollywood Public Library, at bookstores throughout the US and abroad, and on the BBC. Her essays appear in numerous anthologies and she holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
