The National Storytelling Conference brings together National Storytelling Network (NSN) members, as well as individuals and organizations from the community, who are interested in the art and application of storytelling. This years conference is “Many Stories, One World.”

The multi-talented Slash Coleman is coming to D.C. to perform his new show, Chaidentity, at the Capital Fringe Festival. Chai means “life” in Hebrew. Coleman, the son of a Holocaust surviver, has created a “profound and engaging storytelling experience that reaches to the core of Jewish Identity & Jewish Life.”

Unpublished or prize-winning, all word artists are welcome at this loose monthly gathering of DC-area writers. In the tradition of the great 15th-century French literary salons, England’s “Bluestocking society,” Harlem’s Renaissance and New York City’s Algonquin Round Table, we aim for camaraderie and collaboration among fellow creatives. No workshopping, no need to bring writing or read your resume. Just show up—then eat, drink and be yourself.
